INSTRUCTION FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION FORM FOR MDI GURGAON AND MDI-MURSHIDABAD

CAT 2025

Applicants must have a COMMON ADMISSION TEST (CAT 2025 to be eligible for admission to the PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGPM-IB & PGDM-Business Analytics programs of MDI Gurgaon. Applicants can apply only on the basis of valid CAT-2025 score. However, only the NRI candidates may apply through valid GMAT score. GMAT Score for Indian candidates is NOT APPLICABLE


MDI Murshidabad will accept only CAT-2025/ XAT-2026 and valid GMAT score for admission to its PGDM Programme for Indian Students. However, GMAT score is applicable only for Foreign/OCI/PIO/Children of Indian workers in Gulf candidates. For any admissions related queries kindly contact the MDI Murshidabad at 8348021165.

The online application form is common for MDI Gurgaon and MDI Murshidabad.

MDI Murshidabad offers only one programme PGDM for General and Foreign Nationals/Gulf Quota/OCI Candidates.

Please note that the MDI application form is the only source of information about your personal details, academic background and admission related matters. Your failure to provide fully and accurately the information asked for in the application form can prove to be disadvantageous to you.In case of any false/fabricated information about your personal details, academic background, work experience and other admission related matters, your candidature/admission will automatically be cancelled at later/any stage. It is therefore, advisable that you carefully fill the online application form to ensure that you do not miss out/make mistake in any field applicable to you. Please note that any change in the details entered by you in the MDI online application form cannot be corrected/changed at any stage during the admissions process and any such request/communication will not be entertained at any stage of the admission process.


You can either select MDI-Gurgaon OR MDI-Murshidabad OR Both. Kindly note that the admission process for both the campuses will be separate.

NRI applicants for MDI Gurgaon and Foreign Nationals/Gulf Quota/OCI applicants for MDI-Murshidabad will have to make online payment of Rs. 8496/- (Incl. of 18% GST) using Credit Card / Debit Card/Internet Banking.


Online Application will be available till Friday, 28th November 2025 (till 17:00 Hrs)

Eligibility Requirements:

 

  • At least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both class X and XII.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Minimum 3 years duration for PGDM, PGDM-HRM & PGDM-Business Analytics (Minimum 4 years duration for PGDM-IB), with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from any University recognized by the AICTE/AIU/ Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
  • Candidates appearing for the final examination for the Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent examination) and completing all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree by 30th June, 2026 can also apply to the PGDM, PGDM-HRM and PGDM-Business Analytics programmes, subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by 31st October, 2026.
  • Applicants to the PGDM-IB programme must possess a minimum of 1 year (one year) work experience as on 31st January 2026, after completion of a minimum 4 years duration Bachelor’s degree for the programme. The candidates with 3 years’ duration bachelor degree are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for PGDM-IB Programme.
  • Indicate only paid and full-time work experience, acquired after completing the Bachelor's Degree. Apprenticeship, Articleship, Internship etc. which form an integral plan of a course of study should not be treated as work experience.

Online Application Process

  • The combined online application form for MDI Gurgaon (PGDM/PGDM-HRM/PGDM-IB/PGDM-Business Analytics) & MDI Murshidabad (PGDM) shall be available on the MDI website https://www.mdi.ac.in/ with necessary instructions.
  • Candidates have to make an online payment of Rs. 3,000 (INR three thousand only) inclusive of 18% GST and can select all the programmes they wish to apply for MDI-Gurgaon
  • Candidates applying for both MDI-G and MDI-M have to make an online payment of Rs. 3,590 (INR three thousand five hundred ninety only) inclusive of 18% GST.
  • NRI Candidates for MDI Gurgaon and Foreign Nationals/ Gulf Quota/ OCI candidates for MDI Murshidabad will have to make an online payment of Rs. 8,496 (INR eight thousand four hundred ninety-six only) inclusive of 18% GST.

Process for NRI Applicants


NRI applicants may apply on the basis of their valid GMAT scores. Personal Interviews will be conducted for shortlisted candidates in the month of April 2026. Government of India (GOI) rules will be followed related to admission of these categories of candidates. GOI guidelines will be applicable when determining the status of NRI applicants. Candidates have to make an online payment of INR8,496 (INR eight thousand four hundred ninety-six only) inclusive of 18% GST using Credit/Debit card/Net Banking and select NRI category for filling the online application form


Note for PGDM-IB candidates


Allocation of Foreign Partner Institution (emlyon business school, Lyon, France or ESCP Business School, France) The MIM programmes offered by both partner institutions are globally recognized and highly ranked. According to the Financial Times 2024 rankings, the MIM programme of emlyon business school holds 8th position globally, while the MIM programme at ESCP Business School is ranked 6th worldwide. Students enrolled in the PGDM-IB programme at MDI Gurgaon will be allocated to one of the two partner institutions; emlyon business school or ESCP Business School, through a randomized selection process.


Studying At Europe


Students enrolled in this programme will have the opportunity to spend two semesters at their allocated foreign partner institution; emlyon business school, Lyon, France or ESCP Business School, France; both of which offer enriching academic and cultural experiences in the heart of Europe.


The Lyon campus of emlyon business school is renowned for its innovative teaching methodologies and strong industry linkages, providing students with a globally relevant business curriculum in one of France’s most historic cities. Similarly, ESCP Business School operates six urban campuses located in major European cities, actively contributing to the development of a European management culture and offering a unique cross-cultural business education.


Students attending, either emlyon business school or ESCP Business School are not required to pay tuition fees at the host foreign partner institution, provided they complete their academic requirements within one year. However, students are responsible for covering visa fees, visa assistance charges, social security contributions, travel expenses, daily living costs, lodging and boarding, as well as the cost of books and learning materials.


Partner institutions will assist students by providing information regarding available accommodation options; however, students are responsible for making final housing arrangements independently.


Students must have comprehensive health insurance coverage (including medical costs and hospitalization) and personal insurance (covering civil liability, individual accidents, and repatriation) for the entire duration of their academic stay at the allocated partner institution.


Students enrolled in this programme are strongly advised to possess a valid passport (with at least one year of validity) at the time of departure.

The basis for computing the percentage obtained by the candidate would be based on the practice followed by the university/ institution/board from where the candidate has obtained the degree/certificate. In case of the candidates being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university/ institution/board from where they have obtained bachelor’s degree/certificate. In case the university/ institution /board does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by MDI by multiplying the obtained CGPA with the factor of 9.5.


IF CAT Test Registration number / CAT User ID is entered incorrectly, the application will be rejected.

“Instances of provision of incorrect information detected at any stage of the selection process will lead to disqualification of the candidate from the selection process. If such instances go undetected during current selection process but are discovered later, the admission of the candidate will be cancelled.”
